Max LE VERRIER (1891-1973): French sculptor of ancient Greco-Egyptian inspiration known for his Art Deco works.
After a career as a military pilot, he developed a passion for art and resumed his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva.
Back in Paris in 1919, he took up sculpture and became famous for his bronze works (with his own mix of metals), notably animal sculptures.
