"Point De Lendemain By Dominique Vivant-denon "
Point de lendemain is a classic of 18th century erotic literature written in 1777 by Dominique Vivant-Denon. Vivant-Dénont (1746 - 1825), a baron by trade, is in himself a concentrate of the spirit and culture of the Ancien Régime. He is in turn an administrator, a writer, a brilliant designer and engraver, a tireless traveler, a mischievous observer of his time and an essential architect of the cultural institutions of his time. Appointed to the cabinet of engraved stones of Madame de Pompadour, he will survive the revolution, to end up as director of the Louvre under the Empire. We also know his facetious drawings. The edition presented here, numbered, on gray vellum d'arches, by La Tradition in Paris, dates from 1944. It is illustrated with twenty etchings by Maurice Leroy. It is bound in a very Schiaparelli pink full morocco binding (perfect condition), protected by a pink leather backed folder and a slipcase covered in vellum paper. The spine of the reading folder is a little faded, otherwise excellent general condition. Large In octavo
