Female Nude Signed Bernard Bertoletti (1876-1956) “bather” Oil On Canvas.

This very well framed painting depicts a female nude from behind, in a natural setting, and is signed “Bernard Bertoletti” lower right. This type of subject corresponds to the artist's academic and impressionist style. Bernard Pierre Alfred Bertoletti was a French painter born in 1876 in Salviac, Lot, and died in 1956. He is known for his paintings of figures, portraits and murals. A pupil of Léon Bonnat, Barrias and Fernand Humbert at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he regularly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1900 to 1925, becoming a member in 1904 and winning a silver medal in 1914. He was also a laureate of the Institut de France and recipient of the Prix Maillé-Latour-Landry. Bertoletti contributed to the French art scene of the early 20th century.
