Prestigious violin-shaped wall cartel clock with its matching console, crafted in green-dyed horn veneer and enriched with elegant brass inlays depicting engraved fillets, leaves, and flowers. The recessed white enamel dial features Arabic and Roman numerals for hours and minutes, creating a refined contrast with the sumptuous gilded decoration.
The rich ornamental design in chiseled and gilded bronze is characterized by foliage motifs, cartouches, and shells, enhancing the sophistication of the Regency style. Particularly striking is the decoration on the door, depicting Fame seated with an open book inscribed with "une seule suffit," while the top of the clock is adorned with an allegory of Spring.
A clock of exceptional elegance, a testament to the craftsmanship of the period, with later restorations and additions that have preserved its integrity.
