He was present at the Universal Exhibition in Paris (Hôtel des Invalides) with a project by Ettlinger. His works from his Parisian period contain both artistic and commercial sculptures and statuettes. A transition to art nouveau is perceptible. He is best known as a sculptor of busts and works inspired by mythology and classical history, such as his gladiator Ave Cesar of which he made several versions, and the bust Desdemona, made in 1900.
