The Porquier Beau Manufacture (1872-1905) was born in Quimper from the association of the widow Porquier and the painter Alfred Beau in 1872. Under this brand, Alfred Beau created the famous earthenware with Breton scene decorations, studies as rigorous as they were picturesque. Also attracted by Japonism, Alfred Beau produced a few pieces called botanical subjects which announced Art Nouveau in Brittany. This manufacture also had the particularity of great creativity and refinement in its shaped pieces. The already high price of this production caused the closure of the manufacture in 1905.
