French School of the 18th century, oil on canvas depicting the portrait of an elegant woman richly dressed in a shimmering silk dress with gold braid, with a lace neckline and sleeves, and a red coat. All decorated with jewels. She is wearing a "dragonne" hat decorated with a large silk bow and an ostrich feather. She holds an orange blossom in her right hand. In the background, a decor suggesting a terrace overlooking a park. Original carved oak frame. Regency period, 18th century
