Kiêm ceremonial sword, silver mount stamped with ruyi heads, dragons and foliage, ivory hilt finely carved with stylized auspicious characters among floral scrolls, double-edged iron blade and median ridge. Wooden scabbard decorated with floral scrolls inlaid with mother-of-pearl, embossed silver fittings decorated with flowers, dragons, foliage and auspicious motifs, a long strap carefully tied in various knots evoking endless knots. (Small deformations and accidents) Total length: 95 cm - Blade length: 68.5 cm Gross weight of the sword without scabbard: 783 g. Provenance: This sword is said to have been given by Emperor Bảo Đại (1913-1997) to the grandfather of the current owner's deceased.
