Oil on canvas by the post-impressionist painter Adolphe Clary-Baroux, depicting a bank of the Seine, probably near Ivry, where he painted many banks of the Seine. Here we find in a striking way the influence of his friend and mentor Alfred Sisley. Work signed lower left and countersigned and dated in pencil on the frame "August 26, 1903". Period frame in gilded wood with some very small chips. Overall dimensions 56.5 x 71.5 cm approx., canvas alone 50.5 x 65.5 cm approx. Fast and careful shipping.
