Yan' Dargent, pseudonym of Jean-Édouard Dargent, (1824 in Saint-Servais / 1899 in Paris) is a French painter and illustrator. Painter and illustrator, Jean-Edouard D'Argent, known as Yan, is one of the major artists of the Breton School. He triumphed at the Salon in 1861 with "Les Lavandières de la nuit" (Quimper, Musée des Beaux-arts). Monseigneur Sergent, Bishop of Quimper, entrusted him with the general decoration of the main chapels of his cathedral. However, his works are rare at auction and are held in particular in the Fine Arts museums of Quimper and Rennes and in private collections.
