This beautiful solid silver and vermeil cake server, from the late 19th or early 20th century, is in very good condition with some minor traces of time. A first-grade Minerva hallmark (guaranteed solid silver and vermeil) and a goldsmith's hallmark are present. The gilding of the vermeil has been very well preserved, the Art Nouveau style decoration is superb. The solid silver-filled handle has a small medallion with the intertwined initials E and C.
