"Mexican Tree Of Life In Polychrome Clay Circa 1920 / 1930"
Magnificent authentic Mexican tree of life in ceramic: clay. Early production with two pigments: yellow and red. Later pieces feature a broader, more garish palette, with the introduction of blues, greens and pinks. The style is reminiscent of the work of Aurelio Flores. The Flores family made this type of folk art pottery in Izucar de Matamoros, Mexico.

Condition: Good condition considering its period and use. Heat cracks on the 2 side candleholders.
Some tassels missing. Central candlestick blackened. Missing paint. All wear and tear. Remains of candle wax.
