"Art Deco Mushroom Lamp Signed Pierre d'Avesn"
Pressed molded glass lamp with old pink patina decorated with large flowers and stylized leaves in the art deco cubist spirit by Pierre d'Avesn. His real name was Pierre Girre, born in 1901, he was a student of René Lalique with whom he worked for 10 years. He set up his own business in 1926 and produced around thirty pieces with the Saint Remy crystal factory until 1930, then returned to Daum to develop the production of pressed molded glass. Pierre d'Avesn was one of the most original and active creators among the elite glassmakers of the art deco era.
