II° Empire, officer's sword of the Imperial hunts, waters & forests and wolf hunting, 19th century. Chiseled bronze mount. Symmetrical keyboard without counter keyboard with cut-out border with central motif of an Imperial eagle on lightning with outstretched wings, scrolls and flanked by an oak and laurel branch. Chiseled joint arc with laurel branches and a median ovate on a radius in an oval. Ovoid pommel characterized by a fox's head in relief in an oval with a sandblasted background. Body knot decorated with a pearl. Neck-shaped quillon ending in an eagle's head. Flat and smooth mother-of-pearl fuse plates with two vertical stripes. Flat blade with 2 edges with a median ridge and 2 hollow sides on half. Marking on the heel of the blade "KLINGENTAL" with "D" and on the other side "COULAUX".
