""jesus Among The Doctors" 16th Century Enamel Plaque"
16th century enamel plaque depicting Jesus among the doctors or the recovery of Jesus in the Temple, at the beginning of his life around 12 years old, in Jerusalem where he astonishes with his intelligence. In the first Christian representations, as here, he is seated on a high dais, in the center surrounded by the elders, showing his thumb raised, as if to expound his arguments, classic pictorial composition of professors of philosophy or rhetoric with their students. Some chips, small missing corner of enamel at the bottom right Height 21.5 width 16.5 cm
