This beautiful pair of antique Louis XVI period (circa 1780) stools would make a lovely addition to any room, commercial space or art collection. Made from solid wood and originally upholstered in peach silk. The silk is original and now torn and largely deconstructed to reveal the original hessian and horsehair upholstery. The stools are handmade and finished in antique white lacquered wood, with a hand painted Dimond pattern. The woodwork shows signs of age and evidence of previous beetle (which has been treated). The stools are in their original unrestored condition, so the buyer can do as they please according to their taste. With a seating capacity of two, these stools are perfect for sharing a space with a friend or loved one. The stools measure 45cm in length and width and 65cm in height, providing a comfortable and sturdy seat. The upholstery is new in a fabulous peach colour and the antique design makes these stools a unique and valuable addition to any collection. The majority of our stock will be dispatched from here. For small items weighing less than 20kg and with a circumference of 180cm (w+hx2) this is a box of approximately 50 x 30 x 40cm. Delivery 7-14 days depending on your location. You may be subject to customs charges for your parcel which will be payable on delivery of your item. Large items to the UK and EU These items will be shipped with our own courier partners who operate between the UK, France and Spain. We aim to send these items within 2-4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries but delivery times will vary. Please contact us for a shipping quote Large items - Shipping overseas We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our courier partners. Once all costs are agreed we will arrange packing and crating if required. The shipment will then be delivered to our UK freight forwarding partners and booked for the next sailing. Sailings can take between 2-4 weeks depending on your destination. If you do not have a customs broker to arrange customs taxes (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can assist you. These overseas deliveries can take between 4-8 weeks. Insurance For any shipments where you have paid additional insurance fees, in the unfortunate event of damage in transit. All damages must be reported immediately to the final destination carrier and to us so that we can initiate the claims process. Returns In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your purchase to arrange a return and refund. Returns must be in the original packaging as received Items must be returned in their "as sold" condition. The buyer must notify the relevant shipping company that this is a return and cover all costs.
