Beautiful chest of drawers stamped GAMICHON A PARIS in mahogany and speckled mahogany veneer for the front.
It opens with four drawers including a small one in the upper belt and three large ones set back underneath.
They are framed by caryatids in sheath with women's heads and bronze feet resting on the low crosspiece with projection.
It rests on claw feet with skates in front and straight behind.
The sides are flat.
Belgian granite marble top highlighted below by a beveled mahogany molding.
Beautiful double-bolt locks.
It is stamped three times on the drawer fields.
Empire period.
Gamichon Jean Baptiste, practiced rue Mauconseil, then rue de Clery, from 1790 until 1805
