Beautiful decorative bronze statuette representing a helmeted Greek or Spartan warrior carrying a shield and throwing a spear. Gilded bronze on a yellow Siena marble terrace. Empire style from the Restoration period (circa 1840-50). Beautiful decorative object or for use as a paperweight on a desk. Original, beautifully made, it is a very decorative, fun and rare piece. The whole is in very good condition (small chips on the corners of the marble). Height: 16.5cm Length: 15cm
