"Ludwig Moser Cut Crystal Vase, Karlsbad – Art Nouveau 1900"
This Art Nouveau vase, dated between 1895 and 1915, is attributed to the prestigious Moser house, as indicated by a handwritten signature on the base. It was hand-cut and engraved, with a beautiful hue that changes from light to deep emerald green. With a tapered diamond shape, this vase is deeply cut and engraved with an intricate floral pattern of flowers and leaves. It is a true work of art. One of the vases from this series is on display at the Bröhan Museum in Berlin. While many forms of modern art were banned in the former Czechoslovakia in the mid-century, glass was an exception: designers were allowed to work freely, leading to a creative boom, drawing on centuries of glassmaking expertise in the region.
