The Dutch cartoonist Carel (Carol) Willem Voges, author of this original gouache, illustrated the famous cartoon "The Pink Panther" created in 1964 by the American cartoonist Isadore Fritz Freleng for Mirisch Company.
This striking series of the 9th art was produced from 1964 to 1980. Voges was particularly fond of this character.
The fluid composition, the bright colors are typical of his style.
