"Auguste Cain "surprised Rabbit" Bronze "
Beautiful little bronze, old edition, beautiful carving and pretty brown patina. It represents a rabbit emerging from behind a hollowed-out tree trunk.This is a model by Auguste Cain (1821 - 1894), French animal sculptor.
We can feel in his animal inspiration the influence of the sculptor Pierre Jules Mène whose daughter he married.
