Watercolor-Enhanced Drawing of Greek Vases, in the Style of Hancarville’s Plates for the Hamilton Collection.
A paper illustration depicting a series of ancient Greek vases, faithfully inspired by the renowned engravings of Pierre-François Hugues d’Hancarville, published for the Earl of Hamilton in the 18th century.  

The drawing features various types of ceramics, including amphorae, kraters, lekythoi, and rhyta, rendered with ochre and black highlights characteristic of red-figure Greek pottery. Each vase is meticulously detailed, showcasing classical decorative motifs, including figurative and geometric scenes.  

Very good condition, with light handling marks on the paper consistent with its age.
