The sea seems hostile and the ship is fighting against the elements; this beautiful and proud portrait of a boat is representative of the beautiful seascapes painted with application between 1840 and 1860; A mastered and realistic work of large dimensions of a painting applied on a perfect thick prepared mahogany panel, smoothed and teeming with details, a painting for a major decoration due to its size and strong decorative power, inspired by the "Cabinet of Amateur and Curiosity".
