"Venetian "schiavona" Sword, Circa 1700."
Complex iron guard, composed of a set of quillons that covers and protects the hand. Includes a posterior thumb ring. Bronze pommel of the "cat's head" type, characteristic of these swords. Wooden grip with silver filigree. Straight blade, double-edged to the tip, with two slightly hollowed sides along its entire length. A shield-shaped punch appears on both sides of the ricasso. Good condition. Regular pitting and stains. Total length: 102 cm, blade: 86.5 cm, width at base: 34 mm.
