First edition decorated with 15 engravings by Vlaminck including 10 heliogravures colored with stencil (cover, headband and 8 full-page), 1 self-portrait of Vlaminck signed in pencil, and 4 black etchings outside the text (including Portrait of Derain etched), 2 portraits of Dona Elvira and Vlaminck by Modigliani printed in facsimile. Edition of 300 copies (+25 hc); No. 227 of 200 on Arches vellum. Some foxing, the corners of the slipcase a little worn at the hinges. Stained casing on the first cover. This copy contains a second printing of the self-portrait, enriched with an autograph dedication.
