Oil on canvas "l'atelier Savary peignant à l'automne sous les ponts de la Seine en amont de Rouen" signed lower left and lower right R.Savary (stamp of the signature), countersigned (stamp of the signature) and titled on the back of the canvas. Bears an exhibition number on the canvas as well as another on the frame. French school. 65 X 54.3 cm. Robert Savary (1920-2000) was awarded the Prix de Rome (ex-aequo) in 1950. He was the official painter of the Navy in 1987. He exhibited, among others, at the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon des Tuileries and the Salon d'Automne in the 40s and 50s. Many National and International Museums have his works. Wooden frame and gilded and painted stucco of the time. Good condition.
