"Robert Savary. Oil On Canvas "the Basket" 65 X 50 Cm"
Oil on canvas "the basket" signed lower right (stamp of the signature) R.Savary. French school. 65 X 50 cm. Signed (stamp of the signature) and titled on the back of the canvas. Bears an inventory number on the back of the canvas as well as two exhibition numbers on the frame. Robert Savary (1920-2000) was awarded the Prix de Rome (ex-aequo) in 1950. He was the official painter of the Navy in 1987. He exhibited, among others, at the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon des Tuileries and the Salon d'Automne in the 40s and 50s. Many National and International Museums have his works. Period patinated oak baguette frame. Good condition.
