Pair of paintings, oil on parquet panel depicting characters in an interior, one representing charity, a couple welcoming a young woman with her children against a snowy landscape in the doorway. The other painting shows us the departure of a young girl leaving her family with a carriage in the background. One painting out of the two bears the signature of Madame Emma de Bay and dated 1802. These paintings are presented in frames with channels and oves with leafy spandrels in wood and gilded stucco. Some slight losses in the corners. Beautiful decorative paintings from the early 19th century.
