Paul Michel Dupuy (1869-1949) : "Les voiliers", oil on canvas 27 X 41 cm, mounted in a silver frame 38 X 52 cm (attack of worms at the back). Studio stamp barely legible at the bottom right. Perfectly constructed with a remarkable economy of means, this painting with fauve accents and swirling touch lets us glimpse behind the pleasure sailboats a coast that could be that of the Arcachon Basin, although without certainty because the Artist, born in Pau, painted the Basque country and the Parisian Parks as well as the Normandy or Mediterranean coasts.
