"Landrecies 1784, Covered Frying Pan, Solid Silver, Goldsmith Id Crowned"
Very pretty pan with its lid and its blackened turned wooden handle. On the bottom are two fairly legible but very difficult to identify punches. This is most likely the extremely rare punch of the small town of Landrecies at the end of the eighteenth century. Due to the lack of documentation, the ID master goldsmith punch under crown remains unidentified.... The lid, the circles engraved around the fretel, the shape of the fretel are part of the habits of the goldsmiths of Lille and the North at that time. Solid and very well finished piece.
