"Pair Of Polysièges Frères David Retractable Armchairs (adjustable Height) 1950s"
Pair of armchairs from the Polysièges brand by the David brothers who developed multifunctional furniture during the post-war reconstruction period. These armchairs are equipped with a rack and pinion system allowing a double position, living room seat height (40 cm) or normal seat height (49 cm). At living room height the backrest is inclined, at normal seat height the backrest is straight. Light oak seats upholstered with a quality absinthe-colored mottled canvas. The hoisting and the tapestry have been redone by an upholsterer. Very comfortable armchairs in very good condition. Height at the backrest (in low position) 74 cm. Height at the backrest (in high position) 86 cm. Seat width 49 cm, seat depth 54 cm.
