"18th Century Lantern Glass In Blown Fern Glass & Tinted Green 18th Century Lamp Goblet 18th Century"
Green tinted glass lantern, blown and "pinched" two centimeters from the edge to form a collar (this is not an addition of material in applique) which allowed it to be suspended on a chandelier. France, perhaps from the South, 18th century. A similar example can be seen in the work of Jacqueline Bellanger, page 398 (reproduced). Very fine material with numerous small air bubbles. Height 9.3 cm - diameter at the neck 6.2 cm - weight 62 grams. Object in very good condition.
