School Circa 1930 : “the Assembly”

School circa 1930: "The assembly", oil on panel approximately 15.7 X 29.4 cm (irregular cut), mounted in a molded mahogany frame 21 X 33 cm. Panel cut at the top and missing parts at the lower corners (hidden by the rebate of the frame), two woodworm holes in the table and the green character. What a strange painting... The touch, very suggestive and spirited, immediately made me think of Alfons Walde, the famous Austrian painter, but after checking, it is even freer. And I can't tell if it's a table with characters in regional costumes or a court with judge, jurors and lawyer... But what passion! I'm open to any leads, thank you in advance.
