"Charles X Secretary In Mahogany And Precious Wood Marquetry, Decorated With Gothic Arches"
Superb Charles X period secretary, circa 1825, in flamed mahogany veneer, maple, rosewood and precious wood. The theater of our secretary is entirely covered with a luminous maple veneer and decorated with a very fine decoration of Gothic arches. The leather desk pad has been recently redone. Anthracite in color, it is decorated with a frieze and a central cartouche gilded with small iron. The lower part of our piece of furniture opens onto three drawers. The whole is completely covered with a maple veneer, the drawer knobs are in mahogany. This secretary is topped with a gray marble veined with white. It has a key operating the three locks. A piece of furniture of great elegance, in superb condition. Tiny traces of use are to be noted (small classic veneer cracks on the sides of the piece of furniture in particular)
