"Early 18th Century Gilded Wood Mirror With Ears And Openwork Floral Arched Pediment, Tain Au Mercure"
Beautiful and generous mirror from the beginning of the 18th century in the Regency style in carved wood with an openwork arched pediment, original mercury stain and parquet flooring. It is a beautiful piece with its untouched period patina in good original condition including its mercury stain with parquet flooring. Has a proud appearance with its integrated pediment in an openwork arch with a floral bouquet; the ornaments of the rich sculpture are purely in the Bérain style, which still announces the Reign of Louis XIV. Its sculpture is of high quality and the foliage harmonious. Of beautiful proportions without being too much, this healthy and beautiful mirror has all the assets for a neat decoration and its presence on a wall, the mirror with its gray reflection in opposition to the beautiful gilding of time with patinated leaf, its sober and elegant form gives it a proud appearance and the possibility of joining a neat and thoughtful decoration. A truly beautiful piece at a reasonable price...
