Rare box - snuffbox in pressed cardboard with the effigy of Joseph Antoine Poniatowski, nephew of the King of Poland who rallied to Napoleon I who appointed him Minister of War of the Duchy of Warsaw. Raised to the dignity of Marshal of the Empire on October 16, 1813, he drowned three days later while trying to cross the Elster. Napoleon would say of him "The real King of Poland was Poniatowski; he combined all the titles and had all the talents". Dimensions: height 2.2 cm - diameter 8.7 cm. Object in perfect condition.
