"Kilim Cuval Malatya / Anatolia. Circa 1880. 90 X 62 Cm"
Wonderful Cuval from Malatya in South-Eastern Anatolia. Cuval are emblematic objects of the daily life of the nomadic peoples of Anatolia. They were once used for the storage and transport of cereals. True works of art, their refinement and the dexterity of the work make them highly decorative objects... Woven and embroidered wool on wool. The plant shades are absolutely sublime. The depth is incredible due to saturated and extremely dense shades. This object has already crossed a century and a half and the freshness of the shades is unheard of. Circa 1880 Very very good condition!! Dim: 90 x 62 cm Laurent Beauty of Kilims
