Pair Of Silvered And Gilt Bronze Eight-armed Table Candlesticks dating back to the second half of 1800 Louis XV style, with exuberant rocaille decoration rich in sinuous curves and vegetal motifs held up by two gilt angels. The two imposing nineteenth-century candlesticks feature baluster stems supported by gilded cupids, eight arms with scrolls, and are an extraordinary example of nineteenth-century Italian craftsmanship, with a detailed and careful chiseled finishing of floral details.
The shaped, polylobed bases, supported by four leafy feet, lend stability and royalty to the candelabra, while the arrangement of eight candle arms in three tiers creates a pyramidal effect that enhances the lightness of the ornamental elements.
