"Leather Desk Pencil Case"
Beautiful size for this leather pencil case or desk case from the mid-20th century. Made of iron-gilded leather. The lid was made with a book spine from the 18th century, beautiful alternating ribs of flowered or titled cartridges, fleur-de-lys friezes in the lower part. The rest of the box is covered in recent iron-gilded leather. Interior in leather also, with two compartments, one of which has a curved bottom intended to hold stamps. Very correct closure by casing. A few tiny gaps or tears in the leather, especially on the inside, indicated by arrows on a photo of details. Nice patina of the old leather. Note: can also be used as a hiding place in a library... Delivery: €15 for mainland France.
