"Grand Tour Bronze Bust Of Ajax"
Bust of the Greek hero Ajax in Bronze with nuanced brown patina. He is represented in a toga and a helmet which is enriched with a bas relief of centaurs fighting soldiers and panthers, the top being decorated with a pair of eagles. Mounted on a rectangular and round base in patinated bronze. Signature of the French artist at the right side “Ron Sauvage.” and the Belgian foundry “Societé des Bronzes.” on the base. End 19th century.
