Very rare Sèvres vase with 4 angels in "paste on paste" technique.Speckled blue background color (unpolished blue and celestial blue).
4 gilded vine medallions connected by ribbons in which twirling angels move. Angels in light relief in "flesh" color, in 4 different positions.
Gilding on the neck, hooping and half-beading, and on the foot in two hoops.
Interior of the white vase.
Marking on the bottom: S81 in a green cartouche, red stamp RF 84 "LES FLEVES DE LA MANUFACTURE DE SEVRES".
"L" carved for the Director Charles Lauth from 1879 to 1887.
And other engraved numbers difficult to read 18 80 W.
Rare Sèvres piece of fine quality, perhaps unpublished on the market.
