This sculpture is signed by the artist of Slovenian origin Gabrijel Kolbic (1913-1995)
Student at the Fine Arts in Maribor, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, he will obtain his diploma in 1948, after the war. In Prague, he is the student of Josef Mařatka, himself a student of Rodin.
Mobilized then prisoner in Murmansk, he will continue to work on sculpture but also on painting and drawing.
After the war, he returned to his hometown, participated in the restoration of the frescoes of the St. Andrew church in Leskovac
From 1947 until his retirement he taught at the school in Maribor
Known for his portraits and even his graffiti, his works can now be found in various museums and public places
