"Ceroplasty-anatomical Molding-ear Pavilion-jules Beretta"
Ceroplasty is a strange art that consists of using wax, a material used until the middle of the 20th century, to reproduce bodies and the anatomy of living beings. Some museums are entirely or partly dedicated to anatomical waxes: The large casting room of the Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris, the Moulagenmuseum of the University Hospital of Paris, the Museum of the History of Science in Geneva..... The work presented in its wooden casing is unusual on the art market, it dates from the 1920s/30s, it is comparable to the work of visual artists such as Jules Beretta, Charles Jumelin or Mazzoni.
