Description
A George III sterling silver coffee pot, William Cripps, London, 1762.
Shaped like a baluster on a circular domed foot, with a scroll spout surmounted by shells, opposite a C-scroll wooden handle fixed to mounts decorated with shells and scrolls. The hinged, double-domed lid is topped with an artichoke-shaped finial. The body features contemporary relief decoration with floral bouquets and foliate scrolls. An engraved coat of arms appears on one side.
