A George II sterling silver tankard, Joseph Jackson, Dublin, 1749.
Slightly flared body with a circular base and a wavy, chiseled decoration along the lower part. Domed, hinged lid with fluting and shell and beaded motifs. Elaborate, curved handle with a beaded ridge. Scroll-shaped finial with leaf detailing. Engraved crest on the side of the body, featuring a heraldic shield and motto.
