"Antique German Bisque Head Doll By Simon & Halbig In Folk Costume"
This doll was made in Germany by the company Simon & Halbig in 1880's.She has an intact bisque head and shoulder plate, bisque arms on her original stuffed fabric body.
She has molded curly black hair and blue painted eyes and pierced ears.
Her folk costume is sewn on her. It represents a costume from Italy, a Roma region called Ciociaria. It has a very lovely hand-embroidered apron.
It shows some stains, it is a little bid faded and the right shoe needs a new red woolen thread to fix it.
