Important Anglo-Indian chest in solid teak circa 1880. Opening by its lid with a gilded brass handle called boat, recessed. Locking system by means of 2 double hook locks with its key which works (only one of the two is functional) but still allows the closing of the chest. The interior offers a large storage space as well as a niche on each side as well as a small drawer which closes with a key. (no key). The lid is decorated with storage compartments also called "mail tray". Each of its faces is designed with a single solid teak board benefiting from a dovetail assembly.
