"16th Century Venetian School, Painted Wooden Panel Depicting The Epiphany"
Theme of the presentation of the baby Jesus to the Three Wise Men. The Three Wise Men are visitors who appear in the episode of the Gospel according to Matthew relating the nativity of Jesus. These wise men coming from the East follow the Star of Bethlehem to pay homage to the king of the Jews who has just been born and to whom they bring gifts of great symbolic richness: gold, myrrh and incense. On January 6, we celebrate Epiphany.
