"Al Jourdain - Cabaret Dancer 1950-1960"
Al JOURDAIN, known as Alj Spiegelheim, born Nadiejda or Nadia SPIEGELSHEIM (1920-2000), is a sculptor of Russian origin who worked in Paris between 1980 and 2000, specializing in terracotta. Her work "Danseuse de cabaret 1950-1960" combines humor and suggested eroticism. The hat, bustier and scarf of this dancer evoke the models who posed for Jean-Gabriel Domergue in the 1950s and 60s.
