A Satsuma ceramic vase decorated with a combination of polychrome and gold, which presents a continuous scene depicting a day of celebration outdoors along the banks of a river.

The upper part of the vase is decorated with a refined cascade of wisteria, which gently descend along the neck. Signature Dai Nihon Ryokuzan zō engraved under the base.

Period: Meiji late 19th century.
Dimensions: 18 x 10.5 cm.
Condition: Excellent condition. There is minimal wear consistent with the age.
